I cannot log in to the web UI of the repeater. What should I do?Try the following solutions: If a WiFi device is used, ensure that your WiFi device has connected to the repeater's WiFi network rockspace_EXT, and the Mobile Data (if any) function is disabled.
If a computer is used, ensure that your computer has connected to the repeater's WiFi network rockspace_EXT, and your computer has set to Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically. Or unplug the Ethernet cable. Reset the repeater, and try again.
How to reset the repeater?When the PWR LED of the repeater is solid on, press the RESET button on the repeater with power on using a paper clip, and release. After the PWR LED turns solid on, the repeater is restored to the factory settings.
Why is it useless to press the RST button?Please confirm long press the RST button for 8 seconds with power on.
The repeater cannot find the WiFi network of my router/modem. What should I do?The router may be encrypted with WEP or WPA/WPA (Enterprise) algorithm. Change the encryption type of the router to WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK, and try scanning again.
Unable to login repeater interface.Confirm the situation is before after extension.
a. Before the extension:
Please confirm you have connected to the correct signal of the repeater. (The name of its wireless signal is attached to the product sticker)
Confirm the IP access (192.168.0.254) that entered in the address bar is correct.
If you are unable to login, please close the browser(but not just return) and open a new page to try again. If still failed, please wipe all the or reopen the web browser reboot your mobile device.
If all the solutions above are not working, we recommend that you can restore factory settings or recharging the plugged in the socket, then try to connect and log in again.
b. After the extension:
There are two ways to deal with this problem:
First, make sure that you have connected to the correct signal of the repeater. Network Name (SSID) repeater is the same as the superior signal (the router signal), you have to confirm you are connected to the signal of the repeater.
After connecting to the repeater wireless signal, please confirm the extender gets connection with the correct router. repeater signal is assigned by the superior router.
Then login with this website address http://re.rockspace.local.
If failed, please cut off the extender power supply and re-connect the power supply after the extender has been successfully extended the signal, the website window will automatically pop up on the screen.
If the last step above doesn’t work, please change to a laptop or a mobile phone to log in.
First, make sure you have connected to the WiFi signal(no matter the router’s or extender’s), and then login the interface of the router;
Open the Client List of the router interface to view connected devices. After finding the mac address (that is attached to the product stick)of the repeater, you can get the IP address of the extender assigned by the router.
Open a browser, enter the IP address in the address bar, and use the created password in the first time to log in to the extender website. enter the interface.
I can find someone else ’s wifi signal, but I can’t find mine?You need to check the signal strength that your mobile advice can get in the same place. (Maybe the signal in this place is poor)
You should check if the encryption of the superior router is WEP. Only no encryption, WPA, WPA2 and mixed mode can be supported by this repeater.
Whether the superior signal is hidden; (You can check this by your mobile advice)
Always prompt for failure when extending.Check the indicator is blue/red/not bright(if the indicator not bright, it means a failed matching).
If you can’t find the superior signal when extending, please try the following solutions:
① Set the SSID of the router and repeater to numbers and letters combination;
② Move the repeater closer to the router; ③ Confirm the encryption mode of the superior signal is not WEP.(Only no encryption, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, or their mixed mode can be supported by our repeater)
④ Confirm the superior signal is not turned off or hidden.
⑤ Login the interface of the router to check if restrictions are made, such as MAC filter, Blacklist.
⑥ Confirm the password of your superior router you entered is correct.(The password entered in the extension process is the password for the superior router)
⑦ Modify the signal name and password for the superior router and reset the repeater.
⑧ If all these situations are excluded, please send your feedback to this email: email@example.com, the information includes the superior model, extender serial number, and other information.
The indicator shows red or no light (weak signal or filed connecting)?How to confirm a successful extension?
① you can check the Network Name (SSID)，if is still factory setting name ( "rockspace_EXT"), then it means a failed signal extension
② Log in to the extender website to check the extender state is extended signal or not.
If you are sure that the extension is successful, you can keep the antenna upward and parallel with the antenna of the router; If not, please replace its angle.
You can put the repeater and router closer, and observe if the indicator gets solid blue.
No internet access after extension?Confirm whether the extension is successful. (Judge by indicator and management interface)
Disconnecting the device without internet access, and connect again to see if it is available.
Check the router signal strength, if the router signal strength is too low, the extender has hardly extended the signal and doesn't have internet access. (We recommend the repeater should be placed somewhere between 40%-50% of the signal strength.)
When the signal of the repeater is connected, see if its SSID is assigned by router.
Reset the repeater and try others WIFI signal.
The extended signal is poor?Don’t put the repeater too close to the router.
Place the repeater in the middle of the router and the farthest place you want to extend.
If you want to extend the signal in horizontal direction, the repeater antenna is positioned upward, and parallel to the router. If it is for duplex house, both the antennas of the repeater and router should be tilted and remain parallel.
Unable to connect the repeater signal after a while of a successful extension?Check on the interface for restrictions and blacklist.
Clear cache of the extended signal, then reconnect.
Reset the repeater and set up again.
Sometimes repeater and mobile device will lose their connection after extension?a. When the indicator turns no light, it means the repeater and router are disconnected.
Please verify if any changes have been made.
Enter the router interface to view the history, and check the status of the superior router.
If the router is fine, check the strength of the signal by indicator’s color. You can adjust the location and direction of the repeater.
b. When the indicator is solid blue
Please check if the SSID of the repeater contains special characters or Chinese, we suggest that you can set the SSID to alphanumeric combination.
The network is not available after extension.Check the indicator light color, if the signal indicator light is red, it means no signal is received from the router.
If the indicator is red, but no network. Check the router signal strength, if the router signal strength is too weak, the extender has hardly extended the signal and doesn't have internet access. low by repeater interface. (We recommend the repeater should be placed somewhere between 40%-50% of the signal strength.)
Check the extender signal is connected to the correct router.
TThe network is slow after extension.View the color of the indicator: ① Solid blue: The signal strength received by the repeater is above -60db.
② Solid red: The signal strength received by repeater is above -61db~-74db. (The signal is a little bit week. It is recommended to move the repeater a little closer, and the repeater antenna is parallel to the router.)
③ No light: The signal strength received by repeater is below -74db. (The signal is week. It is recommended to move the repeater closer, and the repeater antenna is parallel to the router. )
Under general situation, when the signal strength that received by the repeater is between 40% and 79% (While the interface shows a signal with 2 bars), the repeater works best at this time.
Check the network speed when your device connect the router directly at that position.
a. When the network speed between the router and repeater is the same, it means the connection is fine. (You can check the router.)
b. When the network speed is faster than that at repeater, please check the following problems:
① Check the placement of the repeater, avoid putting it in the corner;
② Check if the antenna of the repeater and router is paralleled, a paralleled antenna will be better for the connection.
③ If the above situation is excluded, please reset the repeater, and try to connect the repeater to the router again.
④ Reset the repeater.
After extension, it has a strong signal but low speed.Check the color of the indicator:
① Solid blue indicates a strong signal;
② Solid red indicates a little week signal;
It is recommend to put the repeater in the place where the superior is between 40% and 50%, and please keep the antenna upward.
Prompt a single frequency extended state after successful expansion:To see if the signal is a hided signal, whether the encryption method is WPA or WPA2 or mixed encryption, whether with special symbols or modify the signal channel, then attempting to re-enter the Extender interface to try to expand;
Whether the password of the signal extended unsuccessfully consistent with the extended signal, in this case needs to go into the Extender interface to expand it.

How can I select my connection type?You can follow the route: Tools>lnternet Settings and choose the type you want or consult your ISP for reference.
Why cannot my device connect to the 5GHz WiFi signals?Please make sure that your 5GHz band is on and not be hided. In this case, you can check the status of 5GHz through Tools>WiFi Name & Password. Turn on the 5GHz band if it's off. Otherwise, you should make sure your devices are supporting 5GHz signals. Only those support 5GHz signals could be detected and connected.
What if the app could not recognize the device or connect to the device?First please make sure that your Ethernet cable with an Internet connection is securely plugged into the WAN port rather than the LAN port. Please make sure that your routers are securely connected to the SSID that belongs to the mesh network. Follow the steps below:
Step 1. Click the WiFi Name of router right on the upper left side;

How can I remove a node from my WiFi network?Tap the node on the RS WiFi App. tap "..." in the upper-right corner, and choose "Delete".
Note： Removing operation restores the node to factory settings.
Can I add another new set of node to expand my network coverage?Yes. Run the RS WiFi App, tap Settings in the lower-right corner, tap Add rock space, and follow the on-screen instructions to add.
How to restore my network to factory settings?With your nodes powered on,hold the Reset button of your primary node down using a paper clip for about 6 seconds, release when the LED indicator blinks fast. Your network is reset successfully when the LED indicator lights solid on then blinks again. And all nodes are restored to factory settings.
My 2.4GHz WiFi-enabled devices,such as a home security camera, cannot connect to my Mesh WiFi network. What should I do?Step 1 Connect your smart phone used for setup to your Mesh WiFi network.
Step 2 Run rock space WiFi App, tap Settings Smart Assistant, and Enable. Your smart phone will connect to the 2.4 GHz WiFi network for about 30 minutes.
Step 3 Use the smart phone to set up your 2.4 GHz WiFi-enabled device guided by its App.
My family broadband connection type is DHCP, when I connect one Mesh to cable modem, Mesh cannot detect the DHCP connection type, the light keeps solid red, what should I do?1.Power off and power on modem and Mesh both, and then connect Mesh to the modem with an ethernet cable, when the light turns to blink green, phone connect to Mesh WI-FI signal and reconfigure Mesh through RS WiFi APP;
2. If you powered off and restarted both modem and Mesh, cannot detect DHCP connection type still, please follow the below steps:
① If there is an old wireless router in your home, please connect wireless router to cable modem, and power off and restarted the modem to make the wireless router can access the internet.
② Connect wan port of Mesh to the Lan port of old wireless router and configure RS WiFi APP to make Mesh can access the internet.
③ Open RS WiFi APP, Click “Settings”-----“Firmware Upgrade”,and check whether there is a new firmware version for upgrading, if have, please upgrade it to the latest firmware version.
④ After the upgrade completed, connect Mesh to cable modem again, and power off modem and restart, open RS WiFi APP and reconfigure, it will detect the connection type and access the internet.
If the wifi signal is weak or always failed connecting,what should I do?1.Confirm the LED indiactors light color on the mesh.

3.Confirm your device have the fast roaming function or not. The Fast Roaming function lets you enjoy uninterrupted internet service when moving around your house. If your device has this function, please try the following step on the Apps:（The device needs to support the 802.11r wireless protocol）
① Step 1 Choose Settings > Fast Roaming to enter the configuration page.
② Step 2 Set the button to the enabled state.
4.If the above situation is excluded, please reset the Mesh, and try to connect again.
One Mesh cannot connect to other two Mesh, what should i do？1.We suggest that there is no more than 2 walls between 2 nodes , if the position is not proper, please adjust the place and angle of Mesh.
2.If the third Mesh cannot join current network, please power off and restart it, wait 2 mins, and then check whether it can connect to the main Mesh on APP, or check the light of the third Mesh (solid green or not).
3.If the third Mesh cannot connect to other Mesh still, please find a tool to press and hold on reset button for 20s, until the indicator light turns green and blink quickly then you can release it.
4.Open APP and check whether it will pop a window that a new Mesh unit is joining the current network system. Tap “Allow”.
Set up rockspace Mesh for the first time, APP cant detect Mesh, what should I do？1. Please confirm whether the broadband cable is connected to the wan port of first Mesh;
2. Please power on the first Mesh, after it connect network well, then power on the second Mesh;
3. Mobile phone needs to connect Mesh Wi-Fi signal if you connect other Wi-Fi signal, please reconnect Mesh Wi-Fi signal;
4. Power off Mesh and power on again, close RS WiFi APP and open it again, check whether APP can detect new Mesh now;
How to add a new rock space Mesh in a mesh network User Scenario One: I have three rockspace Mesh unit, one in my office and the others at home. Now I want to use all these three at home. What should I do?1. First, remove your office Mesh unit from its original network system by powering on the Mesh unit, press its Reset button for about 20s until the LED turns green and blinks quickly.
2. Connect your mobile phone to your home Mesh Wi-Fi network and run the RS WiFi app on the phone. Power on the office Mesh unit and the RS WiFi app will pop a window when the LED of the office Mesh unit blink green to inform you that there is a new mesh unit is joining the current network system. Tap “Allow join”. Then, the LED of the office Mesh unit turns solid green.
3. If the app does not display the prompt, tap “Add new Mesh” and follow the onscreen instructions to add the Mesh unit.
4. If the app does not detect the new Mesh unit, the Mesh unit may still be connected to its original network system. Please repeat steps 1, 2, and 3.
How to set AP mode?Step 1: Run the RS WiFi app. Go to Settings>Internet Settings> Connection Type. Select "Bridge" and tap "Save" on the upper right corner. The app will reconnect the network and please connect again when the button "Connect" comes out. The network will automatically match the mesh SSID and finish Internet connection.
Step 2: Then power on the other two nodes, startup completes when LED blinks green. Mesh network is established when LED turns to solid green.
After the bridge mode is set, the App can still manage mesh nodes, but some advanced features cannot be used under this connection type, such as Guest Network, Port Forwarding, UPnP, DNS, DHCP Server and etc.
How can I connect the mesh network to my printer?Step 1: Please confirm whether the RS WiFi app you're using is the latest version V22.214.171.124, which is the one has fixed the problem of printer connection.
Step 2: Try to close the Fast Roaming function as the temporary solution, checking whether it is something related to this function;
