What should I do if the rockspace range extender cannot find my host Wi-Fi network?

This article applies to RSD0607 (AC750 Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender), RSD0608 (AC1200 Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender), RSD0617 (AC2100 Wi-Fi Range Extender), RSD0618 (AX1800 Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender), and RSD0623 (AC2100 Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender).

When your main router's network is hidden or it uses an encryption standard not supported by the range extender, you may not find your router's network during configuration.

Troubleshoot unable to find router's network

1. Make sure the host network is unhidden and broadcasted.

2. The router may be encrypted with WEP or WPA/WPA-Enterprise algorithm. Change the encryption type of the router to WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK, and try to scan again.
