The number of ROCK or rockspace Wi-Fi nodes you need depends on your home size, design and Wi-Fi congestion.

A set of ROCK or rockspace Mesh Wi-Fi System comes with 3 nodes. It provides a coverage of up to 6,000 square feet, which should suit the needs of most families.

If you have a big house and want to cover more areas, you can add more nodes.

Maximum number of mesh nodes

The maximum number of ROCK or rockspace Wi-Fi nodes is 9, but we recommend 6 mesh nodes in one network. Be aware that more nodes in a mesh network don’t always mean more coverage and stronger signal. To the contrary, it could affect your Wi-Fi performance.

How to add more mesh nodes?

If you’re configuring ROCK or rockspace Mesh Wi-Fi System for the first time, after you set up the primary node, the other two nodes in the same set can be automatically be added to the network after you plug them in.

If you wish more nodes to be added to this mesh network, you need to scan the QR code on the bottom of the mesh unit by using the RS WiFi or ROCK WIFI app. For more detailed steps, you can visit How to add a mesh node.
